
One could perceive Kowloon is just a cookie shop, as simple and straightforward as that. How exactly can one brand a cookie shop into another level? We have created a figure for the cookie brand that embodies the post-colonial element for this Hong Kong brand. With the British influence, the practice of afternoon tea was introduced to Hong Kong.
We conceptualised this idea and we have blended the modern art element into traditional Chinese Qipao, reinforcing the harmonious combination of the Western and Chinese culture. With the distinctive package design, we are promoting Kowloon as a unique and classy snack as a must-have souvenir when visiting Hong Kong. Whether the visuals are “pretty” or not is fairly subjective, our goal is indeed to create a symphony of traditional values and modernity; as well as a synchronised brand story through the illustrations.
